Apparel For The Damned: A Manifesto

記 録

Why we chose this name. What it means to wear something defiantly. Three rules we keep returning to.

We chose "apparel for the damned" because every character in Berserk who matters is, in some sense, damned. Guts is branded. Casca was broken. Griffith was once human and is no longer. The Skull Knight has been walking the road for a thousand years.

To be damned, in Miura's world, is to refuse the comfortable death. The brand bleeds. The apostles come at night. And the character keeps walking. That is the only thing we want our clothing to do — to refuse to stop.

Three rules we keep returning to. One: a garment must outlast the trend that birthed it. Two: the maker writes their name on it. Three: the price is the price. No sales, no Black Friday, no closeouts. When the run sells, the run is gone.
